The Chicago White Sox designated left-handed pitcher Dallas Keuchel for assignment on Saturday and recalled infielder Danny Mendick from Class AAA Charlotte.

Keuchel went 2-5 with a 7.88 ERA (28 ER/32.0 IP) and 20 strikeouts in eight starts with Chicago this season, his third with the club.
