Trea Turner tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday night, leading him to leave the Washington Nationals game against the Philadelphia Phillies in the first inning.

Turner was pulled after scoring on Josh Bell's home run in the top of the first.

"I found out right after he scored," Dave Martinez said. "I had to pull him right out of the game. He's got to get isolated right away. Now, he'll get tested and from there we'll see what happens."

The timeline for Turner's positive result suggests his test was taken Monday.
