The San Diego Padres are "particularly interested" in a trade for Joey Gallo, according to a report.

A.J. Preller and Jayce Tingler are familiar with Gallo from their shared time with the Texas Rangers.

Gallo, 27, is expected to be shopped ahead of the trade deadline this summer.
