Juan Soto has tested positive for the coronavirus and will be away from the Washington Nationals for an undetermined amount of time.

Soto missed Thursday night's season opener against the New York Yankees after a positive test in the morning.

He played in Tuesday's exhibition game against the Baltimore Orioles, but none of his teammates had a positive result.

Soto, 21, had arrived to summer camp late because he was in quarantine due to coming in contact with someone who had tested positive for COVID-19.
