Stephen Strasburg could re-sign with the Washington Nationals before the Winter Meetings begin on Dec. 8, according to a report.

Strasburg opted out of his contract with the Nationals a few days after being named the MVP of the World Series. He had four years and $100 million left on that deal.

Washington is the favorite to sign the right-hander, but the San Diego Padres and New York Yankees are believed to be in the mix as well.
