Don Mattingly wants to stay on as manager of the Miami Marlins but a decision on his future has yet to be made.

Derek Jeter said Mattingly's status will addressed before the end of the season.

"To be fair to Donnie, it's something that we need to talk about sooner rather than later," Jeter said. "We have touched base, and we'll continue to talk."

Mattingly, 58, agreed to a four-year deal to manage the Marlins in October 2015.
