Major League Baseball has suspended Jake Marisnick for two games for his violent home plate collision with Jonathan Lucroy before the All-Star break.

Marisnick said he still felt terrible about the play, which resulted in a broken nose and concussion for Lucroy.

"I've seen a lot of takes on it, and obviously everybody has their own opinion," Marisnick said. "But I know deep down in my heart that I had no intent to hurt, or make contact, with him."

The incident occurred in last Sunday's game between the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Angels.
