The New York Yankees have been without Luis Severino all season and his potential return is being pushed back.

There had been hope that he'd return to the mound around the All-Star break.

However, he's yet to throw off a mound and was shut down after soreness. Dealing with shoulder and lat issues, Aaron Boone said Severino's lat muscle is 90 percent healed and he won't throw until it's 100 percent.

The 25-year-old was 19-8 with a 3.39 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 220 strikeouts in 191 1/3 innings last season.
