The Los Angeles Dodgers were willing to offer Bryce Harper $45 million per year in their talks with the outfielder, according to a report.

Harper agreed to a 13-year, $330 million deal with the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday.

The deal with the Dodgers would have been over four years, which would have allowed Harper to become a free agent again at age 30. He also would have set the record for baseball's highest AAV.
