The Baltimore Orioles continue to make progress on a Manny Machado trade and have narrowed their focus to a smaller group of teams, according to sources.

The Orioles are "definitely motivated" to get a deal done.

Baltimore has had extensive talks with the Philadelphia Phillies, who currently employ a number of former Orioles executives who were involved in drafting and developing Machado.

The Orioles also have discussed possible trade scenarios for Machado with the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Arizona Diamondbacks and Cleveland Indians.
