Hunter Greene, who the Cincinnati Reds drafted with the No. 2 pick last year, will begin the season exclusively as a pitcher.

Greene has flashed triple-digit velocity and has potential as an infielder as well.

The Reds aren't closing the door on developing him as a hitter, but they'll focus on pitching for now.

Greene made three starts in rookie ball last season and appeared in seven games as a designated hitter.
