The Colorado Rockies will increase their payroll next season, according to owner Dick Monfort.

"Our payroll will be higher this year," Monfort said as the club introduced new manager Bud Black. "It will be a record this year."

The Rockies had a franchise-record $112 million payroll in 2016.
