The Arizona Diamondbacks have decided who they will take with the first overall pick in Monday night's First-Year Player Draft.

The club isn't telling anyone outside the organization who that player will be, but they have let a group of five players know that they were among those being considered for the first pick.

"We've reached out to the group of guys that we're considering just to let them know that we were considering them," scouting director Deric Ladnier said. "We haven't said, 'We're taking you.' It's more of a professional courtesy than anything so that they can be aware. I would assume all of them want to be the No. 1 pick in the country."

The three players that have been linked to Arizona most often are Dansby Swanson, Carson Fulmer and Tyler Stephenson.
