Corey Kluber will make near the league minimum again this season after earning $514,000 during his Cy Young campaign in 2014.

He earned a $10,000 bonus for winning the award.

The Cleveland Indians have said that if they were to negotiate a long-term extension with a player, it would be around this time.

"It's not for me to worry about," Kluber said. "My job is to go out there and pitch. ... I'd rather just talk about pitching and not contract stuff."

Kluber finished last season with an 18-9 record, a 2.44 ERA and 269 strikeouts in 235 2/3 innings.

"I don't think that adds any pressure to me, what other people are expecting," he said. "I hold myself to a higher standard than the outsiders do anyway."
