Orioles catcher Matt Wieters will have his sore right elbow examined Wednesday by Dr. James Andrews, according to an ESPN.com report.

Manager Buck Showalter said Wieters will fly to Pensacola, Florida, from the Tampa area Wednesday for the exam and will rejoin the team for the game Wednesday night with the Rays.
