Jose Valverde says that he does not have a contract agreement in place with the Arizona Diamondbacks, contrary to reports.

Valverde recently switched agents. Formerly with Scott Boras, he is now represented by Praver/Shapiro.

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reported that the Diamondbacks gave Valverde a Minor League deal.
