Clayton Kershaw has informed the Los Angeles Dodgers that he plans to make his scheduled start against the San Francisco Giants on Friday night.

The left-hander is currently on the bereavement list following the death of his father.

"Clayton is a 'go' for San Francisco right now," manager Don Mattingly said. "We're pretty sure of that."

Kershaw left the Dodgers clubhouse immediately after pitching eight shutout innings in a 2-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday.
