The Brewers gave Kelvim Escobar his unconditional release on Sunday, one week after he made his only appearance for the team.

Escobar lasted less than a full inning in that outing before experiencing control problems stemming from weakness in his throwing hand. He was diagnosed with a pinched nerve.
