Mike Trout hit .326/.399/.564 with 30 home runs in his rookie season, leading many to project him as an early MVP candidate in 2013.
However, people also believe he could regress due to his batting average on balls in play last season. He had a .383 BABIP, the third-highest in the Major Leagues and 15th-highest over the last 10 years.
BABIP tends to regress to the mean, but Trout should be able to maintain an average close to his .326 mark from 2012 because of his speed.
Trout had 22 infield hits last year, tied for 12th-most in baseball.
