A new agreement hasn't been reached, but the Red Sox and Mike Napoli may resolve their contract negotiations within the next week.

Napoli agreed to a three-year, $39 million deal with Boston in early December, but it hit a snag when his physical reportedly revealed hip issues.

The Red Sox would prefer to sign Napoli to a one-year deal at this point.
