The Diamondbacks agreed to a three-team, nine-player trade on Tuesday that makes the likelihood of a Justin Upton deal even lower.
In the deal, Arizona acquired shortstop Didi Gregorius, left-handed reliever Tony Sipp and first baseman/outfielder Lars Anderson.
"I would say with all the areas we've addressed, I would say it's highly unlikely that we move Justin," Kevin Towers said.
The Diamondbacks gave up right-handers Trevor Bauer, Matt Albers and Bryan Shaw in the deal, with all three going to Cleveland in the deal that also involved Cincinnati.
