After losing out on Zack Greinke over the weekend, the Rangers have broadened their search for talent.

Texas is even looking at Anibal Sanchez, who was believed to be looking for a six-year, $90 million contract earlier this offseason.

One source with knowledge of the team's thinking described Sanchez as "a longshot but a consideration," saying the team is more likely to target short-term, low-dollar free agents.
