Assuming reports are accurate that the Dodgers will sign Zack Greinke to a six-year, $145 million contract, they are projected to set a National League payroll record.

L.A.'s payroll would be projected to surpass $200 million seemingly anyway that the Greinke deal is structured. No NL team has ever had a payroll north of $200 million.

Greinke's reported deal would be second to only the $161 million deal CC Sabathia received from the Yankees before the 2009 season in terms of pitchers in Major League history.
