The Cubs will discuss trading Alfonso Soriano at next week's winter meetings, according to sources.

Chicago has tried to trade and listened to calls for Soriano at various times in the past, but he might actually be on the move this time. He has a full no-trade clause and is due $36 million over the next two years.

Soriano hit 32 home runs in 2012, his highest total in five years, and he'd fit well with a team in need of right-handed power.

The Cubs are willing to include cash in the deal to put Soriano at a more palatable price point. The Phillies are one team that might show interest in him.
