The Mets offered a six-year, $100 million contract extension to David Wright on Monday, according to sources.

Wright is under contract for 2013 at $16 million and Ken Rosenthal writes that he is likely to reject the offer as he seeks a deal of at least seven years.

The offer provides Wright with only a slight raise and matches the six-year, $100 million extensions that Ryan Zimmerman and Evan Longoria have received at third base.

A six-year extension would take Wright through the 2019 season.
