Norichika Aoki has decided not to participate in next year's World Baseball Classic.

He is the third Japanese player to pull out of the tournament in the last few weeks. Yu Darvish of the Rangers and Hisashi Iwakuma of the Mariners have already informed the country that they will sit out.

Aoki hit .288/.355/.433 in his first season with the Brewers.
