The Mets have made little progress on potential contract extensions for David Wright and R.A. Dickey.

They have only accomplished the preliminary steps thus far.

Last week, they exercised the 2013 options on both Wright ($16 million) and Dickey ($5 million).

Since then, one person with knowledge of the discussions indicated the Mets were "not close" to a resolution with either player.
