The Angels have explored trades involving Dan Haren and Ervin Santana before their options come due in a couple of days, according to executives from other teams.

The expectation is that Los Angeles won't exercise the options, which would make both pitchers free agents.

The Angels have until three days after the World Series to decide whether to pick up Haren's $15.5 million option and Santana's $13 million option.

If they buy out Haren, they'd owe him $3.5 million. They could buy out Santana for $1 million.
