Yu Darvish has struggled in his last six starts, displaying issues with his command and ability to pitch deep into games. Since the start of July, Darvish is 1-4 with a 7.04 ERA to see his ERA climb a full point to 4.57. Rangers manager Ron Washington spoke to the Japanese right-hander while the team was in Boston this past week. Washington just wanted to check in with Darvish. "That's all we want -- who he is and what he was," Washington said. "We never wanted anything more than that. If that's where he is now then that's great, because that's what we wanted anyway."
