Nationals second baseman Danny Espinosa is a switch-hitter, but there is evidence that he might be better served changing his approach.
On June 8 against the Red Sox, Espinosa hit a pair of doubles against left-hander Felix Doubront. Later in the game, he went 0-for-2 with a strikeout against right-handers Matt Albers and Scott Atchison.
He is a career .214 hitter against right-handers and his OPS versus lefties is more than 250 points higher.
Should Espinosa Avoid Switch-Hitting?
