The Red Sox are negotiating with Bobby Jenks on a contract settlement that will end his time with the team, according to a major league source. Boston signed the right-handed reliever to a two-year, $12 million deal before the 2011 season. Jenks has appeared in only 19 games for the Red Sox, none since last July 7. He was 2-2 with a 6.32 earned run average over 15 2/3 innings. He was on the disabled list three times, first with biceps tightness and then twice for a back injury. Jenks also was found to have a blood clot.
