Dodgers Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully will miss calling the team's home opener on Tuesday for just the second time in his 63 years at the microphone. Scully, who the team said was suffering from a severe cold, skipped the game on orders from his doctor, according to a source. The 84-year-old was inducted into the broadcasting wing of the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982. He announced during spring training that he will further trim his travel schedule, visiting only cities within California and Phoenix.
