With Opening Day less than two weeks away, the Nationals might have to start the season without closer Drew Storen. Storen, who hasn't pitched since March 7 because of inflammation in his right elbow, is working through a "very conservative" throwing program. Davey Johnson said on Friday that an MRI revealed no structural damage in Storen's elbow. "I'm going to prepare for the possibility that he doesn't break [camp] with us," Johnson said. "I'm not saying it's out of the question for him to break with us, but I'm going to prepare my staff for the opener with the possibility that Storen might not be our closer because we're being cautious to make sure he's 100 percent right."
