Edgar Renteria is considering his options for the 2012 season and is leaning towards retirement, according to his agent. Renteria's agent, Barry Meister, said that the infielder will not yet file retirement papers and remains open to playing again. He has played 16 seasons in the Majors with the Marlins, Cardinals, Red Sox, Braves, Tigers, Giants and Reds. The 35-year-old drove in the game-winning run in the 1997 World Series as a 20-year-old and was named the MVP of the World Series 13 years later.
