According to a source with knowledge of the situation, the Angels are showing interest in free agent Luis Ayala. It appears as though they are one of four teams interested in signing Ayala to a Major League contract. Ayala signed a Minor League deal with the Yankees last February and had a big bounce-back year, posting a 2.09 ERA and a 1.268 WHIP in 56 innings (spanning 52 relief appearances).
