The Dodgers will have a payroll below $90 million for the 2012 season, the lowest it has been in years.
They will get below the mark thanks to the backloaded deal they signed left-hander Chris Capuano to earlier this week.
Capuano will make $3 million in 2012 and then $6 million in 2013 with a $1 million buyout.
