In past offseasons, Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira has worked out at Bobby Valentine's Sports Academy in Stamford, Connecticut. However, with Valentine employed as the newest manager of the Red Sox, Teixeira isn't sure if he'll be allowed anymore. "I was joking around on Twitter and Facebook: I don't know if he's going to let me hit at his facility anymore in Stamford," Teixeira said. "I've been hitting there for two years and he is there a lot. We will talk about hitting, we'll talk about baseball. I don't know if those conversations are going to be kept to a minimum now." Teixeira added that the injection of the high-profile Valentine into the storied Yankees-Red Sox rivalry is a plus. "I think it's great, this rivalry is great for baseball and great for both cities. It seems like everyone stops to watch those 18 games," Teixeira said. "Bobby Valentine is a great manager and a funny guy. He has a great personality. So I think the interviews before and after games are going to be a little more interesting, and that will be good for both teams."
