Yankees general manager Brian Cashman admitted on Friday night that he sees the team's roster heading into the 2012 season as "pretty much set." "Our club is pretty much set except for trying to shore up the back end of the rotation," he said. At this week's general manager meetings in Milwaukee, Cashman said he had some conversations about trades that "went nowhere. I floated some weather balloons that popped, mostly trade stuff. "I've made trade proposals that were rejected and I've received trade proposals that I've rejected. Some are sincere with their offers and I know I am with mine. I'm just trying to make a fair deal. I'm not looking to have my scalp hanging on somebody else's wall." Still, Cashman noted, potential trades "can move fast if somebody finds the right match."
