The biggest goal of the Giants this winter appears to be signing pitcher Tim Lincecum to a long-term contract.
According to people familiar with San Francisco's thinking, the team will make an offer to the two-time NL Cy Young winner.
The Giants are believed interested in a deal of at least four years -- which would include two free agent years -- and perhaps more.
Lincecum has mentioned a willingness to go on a year-by-year basis.
There's zero evidence the Giants would consider trading either Lincecum or Matt Cain.
