Ryan Madson is generating interest on the free agent market, but agent Scott Boras says the Phillies are a "strong candidate" to re-sign the reliever. "He's receiving a lot of interest, including from a couple of teams we didn't know we're looking for a closer," Boras said. Madson saved 32 games and had a 2.37 ERA in 62 games for the Phillies in 2011 and Philadelphia general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. is trying to re-sign the righthander.
