John Harper of The New York Daily News writes that you can't rule out the Yankees flirting with Prince Fielder as a free agent this winter. Specifically, Harper believes that the Yankees might look to make a splash if left-hander CC Sabathia signs elsewhere. Sabathia has an opt-out clause that would make him a free agent. Signing Fielder and losing Sabathia would also likely force general manager Brian Cashman to use young designated hitter Jesus Montero in a trade for a starter.
