Milwaukee hitting coach Dave Sveum is on Boston's list of candidates to replace Terry Francona as manager, according to a baseball source. Sveum was the third base coach for the Red Sox during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. He came under criticism for being too aggressive in the role and left the organization after the 2005 season. Boston has not yet asked Milwaukee for permission to speak with Sveum.
