Following his team's elimination loss to the Tigers on Thursday night, Yankees left-hander CC Sabathia was non-committal about his future with the team.
Sabathia has an opt-out clause in his contract that could allow him to become a free agent this winter.
"I hadn't planned on us losing in the first round. I hadn't really even thought about it or made any decisions or anything like that," Sabathia said. "I don't know."
The left-hander signed a seven-year, $161 million deal with New York prior to the 2009 season.
Asked if he could picture a situation in which he does not return, Sabathia said, "I can't wrap my head around that right now."
