Yankees catcher Russell Martin has only been a part of baseball's greatest rivalry for one season, but he already has a strong dislike for the Red Sox. Martin said that he hates the Red Sox and would relish helping to eliminate them from the playoffs during this weekend's series between the two teams. "Anything to get the Red Sox out would be awesome for me," Martin said. "Because I hate the Red Sox," he added. The Yankees have already clinched the American League East and their magic number to clinch home-field advantage through the AL playoffs is three as they battle the Rangers and Tigers for that right. Martin almost signed with the Red Sox last winter, with New York, Boston and Toronto targeting him as a free agent.
