Johan Santana won't pitch for the Mets this season. New York manager Terry Collins said any real consideration for an appearance with the team has been "out the window for a while." The left-hander, rehabbing from shoulder surgery, felt good after a long toss session Wednesday and will next pitch a simulated game on Sunday in Florida. Should Sunday go well, he could next pitch in the Instructional League, but it's unclear how much longer he'll pitch before resting it for the offseason.
