Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano underwent X-rays on his right foot on Wednesday night after he was struck by a pitch in the 12th inning of the team's loss to Seattle.
"I was worried at first," Cano said. "It hit me right in the spot."
The X-rays were negative, but he was seen in the clubhouse wearing an ice pack on his foot while walking with a pronounced limp.
Cano said he intends to play on Friday, when the Yankees open a three-game set at Toronto.
New York has Thursday off.
