Rays manager Joe Maddon is going to take a road-trip approach at home. Tampa Bay will have a later player arrival time and do less onfield work for the rest of a homestand that runs through Thursday. The Rays are one of six major league teams with a better road than home record. "First of all we've done better on the road and part of that is we go to the ballpark later on the road," Maddon said. "When you're on the road you normally don't do as much work. I want the guys to show up later. I don't want them sitting around all day getting lazy. I think, sometimes, it's such a misconception, the first one to the ballpark."
