Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez hopes to return to the lineup on Sunday against the Twins in Minnesota. Rodriguez, recovering from surgery on his right knee, was not activated for Saturday's game. "Today went well," Rodriguez said after completing his third day of workouts with the team on Saturday. "Another good day for us. Hopefully today is the last day of workouts and we'll be ready to strap it on." Asked if that meant he would play in the series finale against the Twins on Sunday afternoon, A-Rod said, "I think so. I think we all feel that way. My mouth is getting watery here. I'm ready to play. I've watched enough baseball."
