Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez has backed away from trade talk a day after sparking rumors that he may waive the no-trade clause he has insisted that he won't consider. "The way it came out, it was like I want to leave, like I was ready to go somewhere else," he said Friday night. "And that's not the case." Ramirez spoke to Cubs general manager Jim Hendry on Thursday night after reports of his wavering began to surface. Though Ramirez said he did not read any of the reports, his agent, Paul Kinzer, called him to tell him. Ramirez said he's "on the same page" with Hendry. "He wants me here, and I want to stay here," he said.
