The Angels have decided to call up top prospect Mike Trout, who is expected to make his Major League debut on Friday night. Trout, a 19-year-old outfielder from New Jersey, was promoted from Double-A Arkansas. He will immediately become the youngest player in the Major Leagues after entering the season as the No. 1 prospect as rated by ESPN.com, MLB.com and The MLB Network. Baseball America had him at No. 2. Trout is hitting .330 with nine home runs, 11 triples, 27 RBIs and 28 stolen bases in 74 games for Double-A Arkansas this season. "Mike Trout has a chance to be a special player," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said earlier this season. "He can really run, and he loves to compete. He has all the tools and the desire to make things happen."
